Signature Analytics to Participate in Make-A-Wish San Diego’s 8th Annual Walk for Wishes

On April 22, 2017, Signature Analytics will be participating in Make-A-Wish San Diego’s 8th Annual Walk For Wishes at Embarcadero Marina Park South.

Signature Analytics is excited to participate in the annual Walk For Wishes and to support Make-A-Wish Foundation. Last year, many Signature Analytics employees were able to participate in the walk or donate and we look forward to another successful event! Signature Analytics is honored to support such an amazing organization.

Walk For Wishes is a family-friendly community event that raises funds to grant wishes by bringing together wish families, local companies, and supporters of Make-A-Wish. Right now, children in San Diego are facing life-threatening medical conditions. Make-A-Wish offers a chance for them to look forward to something great in the future, an opportunity to feel normal, and to experience their idea of life at its best. A wish improves a child’s state of mind, replacing fear with happiness and helping them to feel like a normal kid again.

This year, Make-A-Wish San Diego is on track to grant over 250 wishes to children in San Diego and Imperial counties that are battling life-threatening medical conditions. My Story:

I am currently a Wish Granter and Events Volunteer for Make-A-Wish San Diego. I can tell you first hand how important this organization is to our community. I got involved in this organization because they helped bring my sister, and our family, back to life after her battle with cancer at 16 years old. Cancer took away many things that a “normal” teenager would feel. When Make-A-Wish contacted us, there was an instant turn in my sister’s recovery. This was a moment where she stopped thinking about her illness, her hair loss, and an entire summer without her friends. She was able to focus on something bright in the future. She wished to go to the Grammy’s and had the most amazing and life changing experience. Make-A-Wish gave back my sister’s confidence and joy for life. Each member of my family are all deeply involved in the organization and have seen the power of the wish in many families.

Walk For Wishes Event Details

Why: Walk For Wishes is a nationwide Make-A-Wish fundraiser that celebrates more than 270,000 wishes that have already been granted while raising funds for future wishes. It’s a family-friendly event powered by wish families, volunteers, donors, and friends.
